Blanche Cabanel is a French painter based near Barbizon, the historic village of pre-impressionist landscape painters. Her intensely colorful pictorial universe explores a dreamlike nature where recurring symbols, animal figures, and imaginary artistic relics intertwine. Inspired by Gauguin, Redon, Chirico and contemporary artists such as Gideon Appah, she weaves a singular narrative where dreams are infused with her fascination for ancient art, sculpture, mythology and poetry.
